It was an extra special visit from Madison Vrazel (right) the Museum’s former Coordinator of Visitor Services and interim Museum Manager, who brought her grandmother, Ellene. They are from San Antonio and Schulenberg respectively! They are in front of the quilt “Artisan Garden” by Ann Moore in the exhibit “Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Blue Ribbon Prizewinners!”

Raylan made the quilt in 2021-2022 when she was 10/11 years old. This was her third quilt, and she’s already made another!

Stephanie Cady (center, hands on knees) and a group of her friends from all over the country decided to celebrate her 70th birthday at the Museum on Opening Day of the new exhibits! They are standing in front of the quilt “Paycheck the Cow” by Marcia Henry in the exhibit “Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Blue Ribbon Winners.” The friends are (in alpha order) Cristin Carroll, Beth Coffman, Edna Evans, Mitty Lutz, Mary Northfleet, and Regina Tabor. Stephanie said “The Museum and all involved are like a warm hug!”
What a group! We had three previous Museum Bybee Scholars: Teresa Duryea Wong, Suzanne Labry, and Kate Adams, along with curator Linzee Hull McCray!
